I contributed to a chapter in the publication Engaged Urban Pedagogy: Participatory practices in planning and place-making edited by Lucy Natarajan and Michael Short, and published by UCL Press (2023).
Co-written and researched with Celine Lessard, Renée Etokakpan, Juliana Martins, Corin Menuge, Ramandeep Shergill, and Michael Short.
The chapter details the project ‘Queering the Curriculum’ – a student-staff partnership undertaken by an interdisciplinary group of queer students and staff with diverse roles at The Bartlett, UCL. It aims to interrogate built environment education regarding how the field obscures and upholds hegemonic norms that shape marginalisations, and to develop ways in which built environment curricula (at the Bartlett) can be reframed through a queer lens for the benefit of students and staff.
